Thanks to everyone who helped decorate the clubhouse.

The Half Moon Social Committee kicks off the 2008 season with the Welcome Back party on Saturday January 12^th, 7pm to 10pm. It’s a chance to meet your neighbors, and enjoy some light refreshments and entertainment by Motel Mel.

Once again the season will be filled with lots of activities.

· Golf is usually Tuesday or Thursday mornings. Bob Meli organizes it. If you want to play contact him.

· Tennis is Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9 at the tennis courts. Show up and play. The group would love to have you join. Jack Hernder is the guy to see.

· Bingo will begin Wednesday, January 16^th. See Lucille Zannino if you have a question.

· Book Club or Mahjong contact Gloria Pinto

· Water exercise weather permitting, in the south pool Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am. Maxine Klein is the person to contact with questions.

· Bocce Carl Zarcone is the contact. Teams will be forming and times will be posted soon

We’re planning to start a Women’s Club. Nancy Hemenway, Barbara Martin, and Eileen Meli are the organizers. The first meeting will be announced soon. A list of activities will be posted when available.

Esther Casey is organizing a Breast Cancer benefit to be held Sunday, March 2, in the clubhouse. There will be a speaker, raffle and refreshments. We hope the women of Half Moon Bay will support this worthwhile cause. More information will be posted at a later date.

Sausage Sunday is scheduled for the end of January. Jack Hernder and his gang will again provide us with homemade sausage and peppers...a special treat for all.

BBQ’s will once again be Wednesdays and Sundays noon to 2 pm. Jo Marie and Don Dubois, and the BBQ team will be in full swing Wednesday, January 16^th. Bob Gutterson and Sam Matteace are our chefs. Help is always needed at the BBQs. If you’d like to volunteer contact JoMarie or Don. Rain or shine we never cancel the BBQ. If the weather is iffy come on down to the south pool! Support the hardworking folks who put in their time to provide us with a great lunch!
